Crete, the cradle of civilization, is the largest and most southerly of the Greek islands and the diversity of landscapes and architecture never ceases to amaze its visitors. April, May, June, September and October ranges from 70 to 80 degrees (20C to 27C) with between 8 to 10 hours of sunshine per day. July and August around 85 degrees (30C) but can be hotter with around 12 hours of sunshine per day.
